On 14 April 2026, the Entelon team met with the Digital Transformation Center Rwanda (DTC Rwanda) and Jan Nehring, a development advisor at GIZ.
DTC Rwanda is implemented by GIZ in partnership with Rwanda's Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT). It supports digital innovation, artificial intelligence, digital skills, smart cities, drone technology and public sector transformation.
Jan's work focuses on natural language processing, including KinyCOMET, a tool for automatically evaluating Kinyarwanda–English machine translation. It is close to Entelon's own work: building AI that understands and speaks Kinyarwanda, from speech to language models.
