The Entelon team with Emre Varol at A2SV

On 16 April 2026, the Entelon team met Emre Varol, founder and CEO of A2SV (Africa to Silicon Valley), at A2SV's headquarters in Kigali.

Before founding A2SV in 2019, Emre spent eight years in Silicon Valley as a software engineer at Google and Palantir and as a machine learning engineer at Liftoff. A2SV now gives high-performing university students across Africa free, top-tier technical education. It has trained more than 1,200 software engineers from 22 African countries, whose graduates have secured over 120 offers from companies including Google, Amazon, LinkedIn, Bloomberg and Meta.

In February 2026, A2SV moved its headquarters to Kigali. For a young AI company in the same city, A2SV's community is both an inspiration and a reminder that Africa's technology future depends on the engineers it trains today.

The meeting came two weeks after the team's first talks at A2SV, with marketing lead Shema Katende.
